People use it for commuting, light touring, day rides, single-track riding, hauling kids, just about anything you can do on a bike. We swap out the stock knobby tires for some slick/highpressure road-appropriate tires and it becomes a stellar pavement-centric bike. For 2012 the gear range has been greatly improved with an 11-32t cassette and appropriate derailleur.
